Our Editorial Standards

At Dietwizenline, we are committed to delivering accurate, evidence-based nutritional information to our community. Our editorial principles guide every article, guide, and recommendation we publish.

Core Editorial Principles

These five pillars define how we research, write, review, and publish every piece of content.

Evidence-Based

All nutritional claims are grounded in peer-reviewed research, scientific publications, and established nutritional guidelines. We avoid speculation and anecdote.

Expert Authored

Our content is written and reviewed by registered dietitians, nutritionists, and qualified specialists. Every author's credentials are verified and disclosed.

Transparency

We disclose our sources, research methods, and any potential conflicts of interest. Our community deserves to know how we reach our conclusions.

Accountability

We take responsibility for errors and correct them promptly and clearly. Our readers' trust is earned through honest, accountable journalism.

Clarity

Complex nutritional science is explained in plain English. We avoid jargon and ensure information is accessible to readers of all backgrounds.

Our Fact-Checking Process

Every article follows a rigorous multi-stage review process before publication.

1

Research & Source Verification

Authors compile sources from peer-reviewed journals, government nutrition agencies, and established health organisations. Each citation is checked for credibility and relevance.

2

Expert Review

Specialist editors with nutrition qualifications review the draft for scientific accuracy, methodology integrity, and adherence to our editorial standards.

3

Copy Edit & Clarity Check

Editors ensure content is clear, accessible, and free of jargon. Complex terms are explained. The article is fact-checked against final sources once more.

4

Publication & Monitoring

Once published, articles are monitored for new research, community feedback, and emerging corrections. Updates and clarifications are made promptly.

Corrections & Updates Policy

We are committed to accuracy and transparency. Here is how we handle corrections and updates.

How We Handle Errors

When we discover a factual error or outdated information in a published article, we correct it as soon as possible. Minor corrections (e.g. spelling, clarification of wording) are made silently with a note in the article metadata. Significant factual corrections are clearly marked with a timestamp and explanation of what changed and why.

We do not hide corrections or pretend errors never happened. Our readers deserve to see how information evolves as new research emerges.

Reporting Errors & Feedback

If you notice an error in our content or have a question about our sources, we welcome your feedback. Please contact our editorial team with:

  • The article title and URL
  • The specific section or claim you're questioning
  • Your evidence or source (if applicable)
  • Your contact email so we can follow up

Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Editorial Feedback" or use the contact form on our website.

Keeping Content Current

Nutrition science evolves. Guidelines change. New research is published regularly. We review our most-read articles at least annually and update them when:

  • Major new research contradicts existing recommendations
  • Official nutrition guidelines are revised (e.g. by NHS, NICE)
  • Community feedback highlights unclear or outdated sections

Updates are noted with a "Last Updated" date at the top of each article. Readers always know when information was last reviewed.

Independence & Conflicts of Interest

Our editorial team does not accept sponsorship from food companies, supplement manufacturers, or commercial health services. We disclose any partnerships or affiliations that might influence our recommendations. Our goal is to serve our community with unbiased, evidence-based information.

If you have concerns about our editorial independence, contact us directly at [email protected].
